Mid-Level Traffic Engineer
Morrison-Maierle is recruiting to fill mid to senior level traffic engineering position. Duties will include managing projects as well as working under the direction of other Project Managers and Task Managers in the execution of project related duties.
Tasks may include preparation of traffic engineering studies, transportation designs, long-range transportation plans and safety studies; preparation of construction plans and specifications; performing traffic operations analyses; building traffic simulation models; scope and fee development and marketing.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Technology, Urban Planning or equivalent.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience in the Transportation Engineering industry with focus on traffic engineering. A professional engineering (PE) license, Professional Transportation Planner (PTP) or Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification preferred.
In-depth knowledge of AASHTO, MUTCD, ADA, and other relevant design guidance requirements.
Proficiency in Synchro/SimTraffic, Vissim, MicroStation, AutoCAD, and/or ArcGIS a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Word.
Must be service oriented and be excited to work in a team environment. Interpersonal skills to interface effectively with employees, managers, and clients. Positive attitude and professional bearing. Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrate analytical, problem-solving, decision-making and follow-through skills. The ability to monitor and prioritize work to meet demanding deadlines. Strong organizational skills and aptitude for detail.
This position will require periodic travel. Must have a valid driver license and insurable driving record.
